last week had such an amazing time off-roading and canyoning in beautiful wadi showka with Toyota UAE to test their new RAV4 and hybrid before the big launch.
I along with few cool dubai influencer were invited to experience camouflage tour which was specially designed by team Toyota to try RAV4 before the official launch. Our camouflage tour started early morning from Toyota’s head quarter in dubai festival city.
It was such an amazing experience to be able drive the brand new RAV4 and Toyota Hybrid all the way to wadi al shawka from Dubai festival city. The day was jam packed with a lot of adventure including off-roading, hiking. canyoning and swimming and jumping off the rock in wadis pool. After arrival at wadi al shawka, we were guided by fadi from Adventurati tours.
The highlight of the trip was definitely the off-roading experience with brand new RAV4 on rough and rocky roads and canyoning in beautiful wadi.

If you planing a hiking or canyoning trip to Wadi showka here is what you need to know;
Wadi Showka is one of the most popular hiking and off roading destination in UAE because of its hills, beautiful wadi, rock formations and breathtaking scenery. wadi al shokwa Is just one hour drive from Dubai, and approximately 2.5 hours from Abudhabi and its easily accessible by google map.
Best any and only way to go to wadi is by SUV and 4/4 because to reach the canyoning and hiking spot you need to drive off road for around 10 to 15 minutes.
Perfect time to visit is during winter as it gets really hot in summer, see the weather forcast before you plan going as wadi gets filled with water very fast during the rain.
Wadi is perfect for basic Canyoning, with wadi being mostly dry most of the year and just with few areas in which you have to go through water, nothing dangerous or challenging. It is advisable for all fitness level.
Make sure to wear you performance active wear and anti slippery shoes Because there are places where you have to walk in the slippery water Pool to cross, specially the first pool is deep which you have to swim to cross. P.S don’t forget to bring a change of clothes.
The area at the entrance and at the end of the wadi has nothing to offer in terms of civilization, so bring your own food and water if you planing a trip by yourself and if you planing a group excursion I highly recommend to book with adventurati tours, as they have full guided trip with lunch and camping facilities.
